We are immensely proud to announce a historic milestone: the inauguration of India’s First Advanced Automobile Lab, set up in direct collaboration with global automotive giant, Toyota. This is not just a lab; it is a futuristic skill center located right here on our rural campus, designed to empower our students with the same technology that powers the world's most advanced vehicles.

The Vision: Why This Lab Matters

The automotive industry is shifting gears toward Electric Vehicles (EVs), Hybrid technology, and sustainable mobility. However, most educational institutions are still teaching outdated internal combustion engine concepts.

Our new lab breaks that mold. It is a state-of-the-art facility focused on Future Technologies. Walking into the room, students are greeted with detailed visual aids covering the "Evolution of Transportation"—from the invention of the wheel to the latest in Hydrogen Fuel Cells. This facility ensures that a student in Kanakapura has access to the same learning resources as a student in a top-tier city engineering college.

The lab is equipped with cutting-edge tools and models that turn abstract concepts into hands-on experiences. Key features include:

  • Hybrid & EV Technology: Detailed wall displays and cut-section models explaining Hybrid Power Trains, Battery EVs, and Fuel Cell technology.

  • Toyota Unique Skills Training: Specialized stations like the "Minosatte Exercise" and "Screw Grommet Insertion" kits. These aren't just about mechanics; they develop fine motor skills, precision, and focus—traits essential for any high-quality engineer.

Institutional Leadership This dream would have remained a concept without the unwavering support of our Principal Dr.Doddaboraiah and Staff. Their willingness to embrace innovation and provide the necessary infrastructure proved that a Government College can set international standards.

As the main supporter and anchor for this initiative, Mr. Manjunath ensures that the lab isn't just a showroom, but a vibrant classroom where innovation happens every day.

The quality of our new facility has already attracted high-profile attention. We were honored to host the General Manager (GM) and Project Head from Toyota, who visited to review the facility. They spent time interacting with the staff and inspecting the setup, expressing their satisfaction with the standards maintained.

Furthermore, officials from Samagra Shikshana Karnataka visited the campus to witness this pioneering initiative. They were visibly impressed by how a rural government college has successfully integrated such high-tech vocational training, calling it a model for others to follow.
